Modern Warfare 4 Season 01 starts on 6 November, for Warzone too

Season 01 lands on Friday 6 November
Modern Warfare 4 Season 01 starts on Friday 6 November 2026, in both Modern Warfare 4 and Warzone. Infinity Ward confirmed the date in its official roadmap, posted on X on 14 October under the line “The road ahead starts with Early Access”. That is exactly two weeks after today’s full launch.
The roadmap gives no start time, so do not trust anyone quoting an exact hour yet. Call of Duty usually announces the rollout time in the days before a season drops. We will update this page when it does.
The full pre-season roadmap
Here is every date on the official graphic. The early-access windows are already behind us. Multiplayer goes live today:
| Date | What happens |
|---|---|
| Fri 16 October | Campaign early access (digital pre-orders) |
| Tue 20 October | DMZ early access (digital pre-orders) |
| Fri 23 October | Full launch: multiplayer playable |
| Tue 27 October | Shipment arrives |
| Thu 29 October | Possession, a brand-new mode |
| Fri 30 October | Infected |
| Fri 6 November | Season 01 for Modern Warfare 4 and Warzone |
Shipment, Possession and Infected all land in the fortnight before the season starts, so there is something new nearly every few days between launch and Season 01.
What we do not know yet
The roadmap only gives dates. Infinity Ward has not yet revealed what Season 01 adds: no new maps, weapons or Battle Pass details for multiplayer, DMZ or Warzone. Those details usually arrive in a dedicated season blog shortly before launch, and we will cover them as soon as they are official.
For what already carries across into Warzone, see our breakdown of what Modern Warfare 4 keeps from your old Operators and blueprints. For the new DMZ map, see our Hajin points-of-interest guide.
Sources we check
The date comes from Infinity Ward’s official roadmap post on X (14 October 2026). Insider Gaming, GamerFuzion and MW4.GG report the same dates. Anything not on the official roadmap, such as a start time or Season 01 content, stays off this page until Call of Duty confirms it.
