Hajin DMZ map: all 13 points of interest in Modern Warfare 4's Exclusion Zone

The short version

Hajin, the DMZ map in Modern Warfare 4, has 13 major points of interest and more than 60 smaller named locations. Infinity Ward set them out in Call of Duty’s DMZ deep dive, published on 5 October 2026 (Call of Duty, via TechTimes and KeenGamer).

DMZ launches with Modern Warfare 4 on Friday 23 October on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2. It comes with the full game, so you need Modern Warfare 4 to play it (TechTimes).

The smaller locations matter too

Infinity Ward says there are more than 60 additional named locations around the 13 big ones. Some of them do a specific job, and you will plan routes around them: gas stations, police stations with armory access, UAV towers and clinics (TechTimes). Every POI and sub-location also carries a threat level, such as High or Critical, so you can see how hot an area is before you commit.

Fan-made maps already show threat ratings for each area, but they don’t agree with each other yet. We will wait for the game to launch before we publish ratings.

Getting out alive

As in older DMZ, any gear you don’t extract is lost. According to KeenGamer’s write-up of the deep dive, you have three ways out:

• The extraction helicopter, at exfil points marked with green smoke. Calling it can draw extra AI pressure and rival squads.
• Fulton balloons.
• Flares.

Vehicles need fuel now

This is the biggest change from Warzone. DMZ vehicles need fuel and repairs, so gas stations become resupply stops you plan around rather than scenery. KeenGamer lists civilian cars, military vehicles, the Aston Martin Dreadnought, the LTV, the D50 Radar Flatbed, the RHIB boat, helicopters and the Heavy Chopper. An automated train and tram also run through parts of the map.

The FOB and progression

Your Forward Operating Base is the hub between deployments. It starts with your Active Duty Operators, Stash and Loadout, DMZ Orders, a Firing Range and Survival Kits. As you progress it adds the 3D Printer, Gunsmith, a Vendor, the Bounty Leaderboard, a Boss Board, a Dog Tag Case and a progression station (KeenGamer).

The trait trees and shared weapon levelling also appear in Hardcore Gamer’s hands-on preview, which says squads were three players and that other squad sizes are still unconfirmed. Call of Duty says a second deep dive will cover the full Level 70 system.

Is this the same Hajin as Warzone?

It’s the same place but a different mode. Hajin also becomes Warzone’s battle royale map with Modern Warfare 4 Season 1, not at launch. Nobody has confirmed how much of the DMZ Exclusion Zone the battle royale circle will use. What’s confirmed about that version is in our Hajin Warzone map post.
