It’s high season for Call of Duty rumours and leaks. The latest rumour to do the rounds suggests that Call of Duty’s next major release will be titled “Call of Duty: WWII Vanguard“.
The news, courtesy of ModernWarzone’s Doug Dagnabbit states that the current working title for the game is WWII Vanguard but that this could change prior to release. It could however be the final name upon release. The “Warzone” tag was doing the rounds well in advance of the official announcement of Call of Duty: Warzone, in fact that’s how ModernWarzone was born; through speculation of the final working title of Warzone itself.
Not sure what we think about this one, time will tell. Many not liking the sound of it though! 👀 https://t.co/FGpe5QxEgL

Call of Duty: WWII Vanguard is set to release late 2021 and will likely be produced by Sledgehammer Games, which if true will be their first title release since 2017. It’s not been confirmed by Activision that Sledgehammer Games are the developer, but multiple rumours have indicated as such.
The rumours go on to suggest that Call of Duty: WWII Vanguard will take place in the 50s, but not much else is known at this point. We do however expect the title to be fully integrated with Warzone on release.
